What we collect
InfoCut is a guide you can read without giving us anything. There is no contact form, no comment section, no newsletter and no user account. We do not sell, rent or share personal data for advertising, and we do not build profiles of our visitors.
The only data processed is technical data that comes with every visit:
- Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data for each request (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type). This is needed to deliver the site and to protect it against attacks.
- Visit statistics: we count visits with Burst Statistics, installed on our own server. It works without cookies and without fingerprinting. Each visitor is represented by an anonymous code that changes every day, so we cannot recognise you from one day to the next. These statistics stay on our server and are not shared with anyone.
- Country check: to protect the site, your IP address is checked to find out which country the request comes from. Requests from some countries are blocked. The IP address is not stored for this purpose.
Cookies
InfoCut does not place any cookies on visitors' devices, neither for statistics nor for advertising. Cookies are only used in the site's administration area, which is reserved for the site operator.
Service providers
- Hosting: Namecheap, Inc. The server is located in the Netherlands (European Union).
- Security and delivery network: Cloudflare, Inc. All traffic to infocut.ch passes through Cloudflare, which filters attacks and delivers the pages quickly. Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical request data for this purpose.
- Fonts: the site loads the Open Sans font from Google Fonts (Google LLC). Your browser then connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
Why we process this data
We process this technical data to run the site, keep it secure and understand how much it is used. For visitors in the European Union, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Transfers abroad
The Netherlands is recognised by the Swiss Federal Council as a country with an adequate level of data protection. Cloudflare, Inc. and Google LLC are companies based in the United States. Both are certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Federal Council has recognised since 15 September 2024, and they also use the standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider according to its own policy, usually about 30 days.
- Visit statistics: kept as long as they are useful to us. They do not allow anyone to identify you.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. Visitors in the European Union also have the rights to restriction and data portability. Send your request to [email protected].
If you think we are not respecting the law, you can contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch. Visitors in the European Union can also contact the data protection authority of their own country.

Our guides link to other websites, such as search engines, social networks and data brokers. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that website applies.
